Deolinda Catarina França de Vilhena is a professor at the Department of Performing Arts and permanent professor of UFBA/PPGAC (Master and PhD levels). She completed a year of Senior Internship at the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Wallon and carried out her postdoctoral studies (2008-2010) at FAPESP, as scholarship holder, under the supervision of Silvia Fernandes at ECA/USP. She holds a PhD (2007) and an MA (2002) in Théâtre et Arts du Spectacle from Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris III, supervised by Jean-Pierre Ryngaert. She also holds an MA in Performing Arts, form the School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo (2001) and a BA in Journalism, from UNIVERCIDADE (1983). She is the leader of GIPE-CIT –Grupo Interdisciplinar de Pesquisa e Extensão em Contemporaneidade (Interdisciplinary Research and Extension Group on Contemporary, Imaginary and Theatricality) and her research work focus mainly on theatrical production: cultural production chains, training and qualification, cultural policies, Brazilian theater, French theater and economy of culture.
