He is a playwright, theater director, an assistant professor at the School of Theater of the Federal University of Bahia, and a permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Performing Arts. He holds a degree in Communication (1991) and in Theater Direction (2001) both from UFBA. He also holds an MA (2008) and a PhD (2013) in Performing Arts from UFBA. He has already been an alternate advisor of the Bahia Government (2011-2013) and an assistant professor at the State University of Southwestern Bahia (UESB). His research interest is in Communication and Arts, mainly in the following areas: journalism, dramaturgy, script, theater direction, cinema, production, and art education. He is a member of the Group Dramatis/UFBA.
