He is a playwright and writer with several published titles for children and teens. He holds a PhD (2007) and an MA (2003) in Performing Arts. He is an assistant professor at the School of Theater of the Federal University of Bahia. He is the coordinator of the Collegiate of Performing Arts (2011) and accredited with the Graduate Program in Performing Arts. He holds a degree in History – UFBA (1973) and an Actor’s Technical Training Course (1970). His research interest is Arts, focusing on History of the Brazilian Theater, mainly on the following topics: actor, acting, dramaturgy, staging, and teaching. He is a member of the research group Dramatis – Dramaturgy, Media, Theory, Criticism, and Creation. He was coordinator and professor of the Performing Arts Course of the Social College.
