George Mascarenhas de Oliveira is an actor, theater director and an assistant professor at the UFBA School of Theater. He holds a PhD in Performing Arts (PPGAC / UFBA), an MA in Arts –Theory and History of Art from UFBA (1999) with a degree in Dramatic Body Mime from the Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique/London (1998) and a BA in Theater Studies from Sorbonne-Nouvelle University -Paris III (1995). His academic career includes: professor of theater at the Social College of Bahia (2004-2010); substitute professor of the Bachelor of Theater Interpretation (2006) and Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts (2010) at UFBA; assistant professor at the Theater Course of the Federal University of Sergipe – UFS (2010-2014). He is also an actor, director, teacher and researcher of Etienne Decroux’s Dramatic Body Mime technique as well.
