He is an Art professor, scholar, and researcher with productions in Performing Arts (Dance/Theater), Performance, Production, and Education. He is currently an assistant professor of the Institute of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences of Professor Milton Santos (IHAC). He is also an assistant professor of the Professional Master’s Program in Arts (ProfArtes) and the Graduate Program in Performing Arts (PPGAC) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). He has a degree in Performing Arts from the National University of Costa Rica (2003) and a qualification in Performing Arts Teaching from the Distance State University (2006). He holds an MA in Human Movement Sciences from the University of Costa Rica (2007) and a PhD in Performing Arts from the Federal University of Bahia. He is a researcher on topics related to History, Body Studies/Corporeality, Somatic-Performative Research, Criticism of Processes, Postcolonial Studies, and Decolonial Option.
